Shabina and Kyle

We're getting married!

Our Story

For 15 years, Shabina and Kyle lived within two miles of each other – oblivious to the fact that they were right around the corner from one another! Their chance encounter happened after they both moved back to Seattle from Los Angeles after graduating from the University of Southern California (Fight on!).

Their paths had finally crossed one fateful evening in 2018. Through mutual friends and a last minute change of plans, Shabina and Kyle both ended up at the same USC football watch party. Although everyone else was glued to the TV, Shabina and Kyle were distracted after their initial small talk turned into a never-ending conversation with each other. They soon came to realize that so much of their lives were lived in parallel, and their connection was instant!

Their first date was a week later at Pie Bar in Capitol Hill for some pie and hot chocolate where they discovered their mutual love for the outdoors, the Strokes, and cooking.

From that point onwards, Shabina and Kyle have enjoyed their favorite activities together in their hometown of Seattle: backpacking the Cascades, cooking meals and hosting friends for dinner, and going on spontaneous weekend trips! Out of all their shared passions, their love for adventure and traveling is where their compatibility shines the most: from their favorite local spots like the San Juan Islands, to the farther reaches of the world like Tahiti, where they got engaged! They are so excited for many more adventures together.

As they are getting ready to tie the knot, Shabina and Kyle feel so much gratitude for the overwhelming love and support from their families and friends. They are so excited to celebrate with all of you in Whistler!
